New map showing Odysseus's latest entry. That makes his journey around 3,500 miles so far not counting any side places he went or stops he made along the way. Awesome!
When I was a kid my mom bought me a book called Earth Search and one of the ideas presented there was the Geo Bears. Originally a project for kids in school, the idea was that you take a bear and send it out into the world with travelers who take it to their destination and pass it on. This way the bear travels the world. At each new destination the people hopefully send you a postcard by mail or maybe pictures.
I always wanted to do this project and tried several time to get a bear out. Now that I graduated I found the book and a few cute bears that I've saved over the years for this purpose. I've decided to send my bears out into the world and to keep this blog about their travels, learn about the world, meet people, and find others who might be traveling outside the state or country who can take a bear with them.
Any type of participation would be fun and I encourage you to contribute or get involved.
GeoBear No.1: Hermies
My first bear is Hermes, named for the Greek god of travel. He is ready to go so now I'm just looking for someone to start him out.
GeoBear No. 2: Zella
My second bear is Zella, no special story behind the name, just thought it was cool. Last heard from in Russia.
GeoBear No. 3: Odysseus

GeoBear No. 4: Cheng Ho
He was named for the great Chinese sailor/explorer. Cheng Ho is traveling to China with some friends.
GeoBear No. 5: Ponce de Leon
Named for the man who found Florida on his way to the fountain of youth. He's ready for a traveler!

GeoBear No. 7: Gulliver
Named from Gulliver's Travels, this bear went with me to San Francisco, CA and is soon to tour the US with my boyfriends parents.
My name is Molly. I got my Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering and live in the Portland area working for the City of Portland in Construction Management and then the Collection Systems / Sewer Maintenance Bureau.
I decided to revive my blog as a way to easily reference my craft skills and services without a hassle of a webpage.
